About Dondell Green

My name is Dondell Green. I am a personal trainer at COGI Athletic Company in Thomasville, GA. I reside in Thomasville with my wife, Jennifer, and our four kids, Quantavious, Christopher, Quanese and Dondell Jr. As a personal trainer, I work with adults, children, and professional athletes. I run the COGI bootcamp of Thomasville and I specialize in youth high performance. 

As an adolescent, I attended Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, GA, where I received numerous academic and athletic accolades. I was awarded for having the second highest GPA on the 1993 football team and for winning the Thomas County Central High School Algebra II quiz bowl. As a Thomas County Central High School athlete, I was the first State Championship running back, with All Area and State honorable mention. I was also the first Thomas County Central High School region champion in wrestling and placed second in the State Wrestling Competition in both 1992 and 1993. In addition to my involvement in sport and academic competition,, I became a Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in 1991.

After graduating from Thomas County Central High School in 1993, I received a scholarship to play football at Georgia Southern University (GSU) in Statesboro, GA. While at GSU I a part of the 1993 Southern Conference championship team. Unfortunately, my football career at GSU came to an abrupt end following a major knee injury. Entering a different stage in life, I began a ten year career in management, working my way to become a store manager in the retail industry. However, my undying passion for football and sports led me to leave this career and join the COGI family, where I am given the opportunity daily to share my testimony and help others succeed spiritually, mentally and physically. 

I began my career at COGI in 2006. In 2008, I founded Joshua's Promise Inc., which I still operate today. Joshua's Promise Inc. is a non-profit, Christian based, after-school program dedicated to implementing positive changes in the lives of at-risk children in Meigs, GA. Joshua's Promise provides educational support through tutoring, homework assistance, and post-secondary preparation. We also help address the spiritual, emotional, physical and vocational needs of all participants. Of the thirty high school seniors we have had participate in the program, 28 have enrolled in college, enlisted in the Armed Forces or successfully entered the workforce. 

I enjoy working and running this organization as well as being a Champion certified personal trainer.
